How long has Project Azul been serving the Indy community?

Project Azul has been serving the Indy community since January of 2020.

Describe the impact your organization has had on the Indy region.

The mission of Project Azul is to provide individuals with the flexible training and financial assistance needed to transition from unemployment or underemployment into full-time positions offering higher wages, access to benefits, and a pathway to career advancement.

In order to achieve this mission, we have a process designed to provide support to participants that meets them where they are and eliminates barriers to success in training and in obtaining better employment.

Coaching Support

We provide participants with coaching support, which continues in employment, to help them meet their basic needs, navigate professional barriers, and resolve concerns.

Nonprofit Organizations Partnerships

We partner with other nonprofit organizations to increase awareness of our opportunities, leading to more referrals to our trainings and providing our participants with an ecosystem of support.

We tailor our training programs to meet actual employer needs while remaining focused on ensuring trainings are designed for our participants to achieve success. We build intentionally with employers which provides us with a platform to advocate for our participants and for adjustments to company culture to increase growth opportunities and create a more inclusive culture.

Talk about the impact that $14,000 could have on your organization and for the communities you serve.

This grant would help us serve more people! We would use the funds to help support more individuals through training, coaching, and job placement. Through this support we would be able to provide coaching, training, and job placement services to an additional 22 people.
